Educational Psychology Service
The Educational Psychology Service provide a detailed chargeable service. Training can be arranged for groups of staff, whole staff teams or locality groups. Schools can also ask for a bespoke service to meet the needs of an individual in the school.

Understanding EAL or SEND
Training provided by EMTAS can be arranged for groups of staff, whole staff teams or locality groups. Schools can also ask for a bespoke service to meet the needs of an individual in the school. Training is delivered on a half day or twilight basis. There is no additional cost for maintained schools accessing EMTAS training. For academies, this support is chargeable.

Learning Behaviour and Advisory Team
LBAT – WSSfS
The team provide training for schools. LBAT training packages are delivered on a schools and locality basis and include understanding behaviour, ADHD, dyslexia, reading, writing, spelling and maths. The team manage the county’s positive handling (Team Teach – a 6 hour course) and run bespoke packages on Down’s Syndrome. Training can be arranged with the LBAT Advisory Teachers.
Autism and Social Communication Team
The team provide training for schools. ASCT training packages are delivered on a schools and locality basis. The Core training is called Understanding Autism. Following completion of the Core training other courses are available focused on supporting pupils with autism/social communication difficulties with specific needs. Courses include; comic strip conversations, social stories, girls with ASC, understanding and supporting anxiety LEGO therapy, zones of regulation and transition.
Longer term courses also available: AAA (Autism Aware Award), CAAPSTA (Certificate in Autism Awareness with Practical Strategies for Teaching Assistants,) AScSURE (ASC Strategies, Understanding, Realisation and Emotional wellbeing) for parents and Early Bird (+) for parents.
