West Sussex Services for Schools is the ‘go to’ place for WSCC Education and Skills training. The website contains a searchable training and support offer. Information can also be found in the online training catalogue.

To provide a clearer understanding of SEND and Inclusion CPD training pathways provided by WSCC Education and Skills teams an overview has been produced.

Other organisations also offer training and development which may be relevant to schools and settings. A range of external providers are shown below.

SEND and Inclusion CPD Pathways

For senior leaders including Senior Leaders including SENCOs, Inclusion Leaders, Senior Leaders and Headteachers.

Early Help (including Early Years and Childcare Training Programme)

A range of training sessions is available. This includes Domestic Abuse, Implementing Early Help Plans, Neglect Partnership Training and Reducing Parental Conflict.

Special Needs Officer (SNO) training sessions

A range of bespoke training including online Annual Reviews, EHNCA and SEND Funding modules.

The Meeds SEND Alliance

An outreach service run out of a special school in the Mid Sussex area offering training (inc. virtual) for all areas of SEND.

Online mental health training for schools and parents.
