Primary: Key Stage 1

Steps towards outcomes:

  • Communication – extend vocabulary, use language for different purposes,
  • Numeracy – Handling money, making comparisons, problem- solving,
  • Literacy – reading and writing for different purposes
  • Real world visits (fire stations, farms, cafés etc.)
  • Discussions – ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’
  • Settling and adapting confidently to new environments because transitions have been carefully planned and personalised when needed
  • Raising aspirations through meeting role models – linked to curriculum, assemblies etc
