- Communication – extend vocabulary, use language for different purposes,
- Numeracy – Handling money, making comparisons, problem- solving,
- Literacy – reading and writing for different purposes
- Real world visits (fire stations, farms, cafés etc.)
- Discussions – ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’
- Settling and adapting confidently to new environments because transitions have been carefully planned and personalised when needed
- Raising aspirations through meeting role models – linked to curriculum, assemblies etc
