West Sussex Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service talk equality

This week’s blog is brought to us by the West Sussex EMTAS Team. The Team advise schools across the county. The EMTAS Summer newsletter offered valuable information and resources to promote equality and cultural diversity.

Yet there is clearly much more that needs to be done in order to embed a culture of inclusion across the whole school and throughout the school year.  The newsletter gave some alternative ideas including:

  • What should be done at a whole school level?
  • Promoting parental engagement
  • What do pupils need?
  • Reviewing and decolonising the curriculum.
