Looking for inspiration to develop your school SEND and Inclusion practice?
The SENCO Leadership Forums are already supporting schools to develop their SEND knowledge and practice. School staff who have attended the Autumn and Spring Term sessions have highlighted the benefits of these facilitated sessions, giving them the opportunity to network and problem solve with their peers.
” The breakout rooms were good as I like to discuss things and share experiences. Being a SENCo can be a lonely job so it is always good to have others who understand the role to bounce ideas off.” – SENCo
So far, the sessions have covered the practical applications of Local Authority SEND data along with the West Sussex Inclusion Framework and the Ordinarily Available Inclusive Practice Guidance. Schools attending the recent forums heard from the National Association for Special Educational Needs (NASEN) about the free resources available to schools. They also heard about many new initiatives from our WSCC Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service (EMTAS).
Demand for the Forum sessions is high, and with the Summer Term Forums focusing on supporting positive transitions, can you afford to miss out?
The summer sessions will be held online between 2pm and 4pm. Booking is easy using the links below, or alternatively via West Sussex Services for Schools.
