Tools for Schools is a West Sussex County Council website that is being developed to provide schools and education settings with information, resources and to signpost to further support.

Tools for Schools is delivered using a product created by FutureGov Ltd. This product stores and processes the information, supplied by West Sussex County Council.

By using the site, you confirm that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to comply with them.

No Reliance on Information

Any information, advice, services and external website accessed through the Tools for Schools is at the user’s own risk and cost.

The information on this website is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely. You must obtain professional or specialist advice before taking, or refraining from, any action on the basis of the content accessed on or through our site.

Information provided on the Tools for Schools has been verified by service providers where possible. It is regularly updated by West Sussex County Council. However, we take no responsibility in the event of out-dated information leading to indirect, incidental or consequential damages.

Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information on our site, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on our site is accurate, complete or up-to-date.

Privacy Notice

Tools for Schools contains a Pinboard feature on each page. This information maybe used to analyse trends in service use.

The blog section has a comment facility which allows users to share their views. If commenting on a blog post personal information that identifies an individual should not used. Comments will be vetted by Tools for Schools for this reason before being published and any identifying comments removed. Tools for Schools retains the right to remove any comments.

Any personal data will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and any subsequent replacement legislation, and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations.

The Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data:

We process personal data because it is necessary in order to comply with the Authority’s legal obligations and to enable it to perform tasks carried out in the public interest

The personal data collected will not be shared with anyone outside of West Sussex County Council or FutureGov Limited the data processor. However, Futuregov uses third party tools which your data may pass through. Futuregov has listed all third party integrations on their Futuregov Privacy Policy page.

Personal data will not be retained:

(a)   for longer than necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are collected (for as long as the functionality of the Tools for Schools website exists);

or

(b)  if you contact us ([email protected]) and ask us to remove your personal data from the website.
